=TURTLE NECK COLLAR=: With right side facing and Red pick up 100
(104, 108) sts from st holders. Work in K 1, P 1 ribbing for 5 rows,
turn sweater inside out and starting with a K row work in stockinette
st for 2½ inches ending with a P row, then P 1 row, K 1 row. Work in
K 1 P 1 ribbing for 3 inches, bind off. Steam collar, fold in half
turning ribbing under. Sew in place for double collar. Sew remaining
shoulder seam.

at underarm edge. Continue raglan dec in same manner as back dec 2

work remaining dec every other row as follows: work in pattern to

=RAGLAN DEC=: Start same as right front and complete same as back.
Complete bind off at shoulder, then complete border same as right
front.

=SLEEVES=: With double strand of yarn cast on 32 sts (all sizes).
Work in garter st for 1½ inches. Cut one strand of yarn, continue
with single strand of yarn. K across row inc 23 sts evenly spaced
(all sizes); 55 sts. Start pattern same as back inc 1 st at each end
every 3 rows 10 (10, 20) times every 4 rows 14 (14, 7) times. Work
even until sleeve measures 16½ (16½, 17) inches from beg or length
desired to underarm. =SHAPE RAGLAN=: Work same as Back Raglan until

neck bands of front section. Sew in position around back neck edge.
Sew grosgrain ribbon around neck band. Sew buttons in position. Cut
buttonholes in ribbon. Finish with buttonhole st.

Covered All Over with sequins


=Sizes: 12, 14, 16=

Materials Required:

  =AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY “DAWN” ORLON=
  12 (13, 14) skeins White
  Circular Needle No. 1

1 Pr. Knitting Needles No. 2 OR ANY SIZE NEEDLE WHICH WILL RESULT IN
STITCH GAUGE BELOW

  ¼ yd. Nylon Netting
  3 bunches 8 M cup Crystal Iris Sequins.

=GAUGE=: 15 sts = 2 inches

Directions are given for Small size (12). Changes for Medium (14) and
Large (16) sizes are given in parentheses.


=TO WORK WITH SEQUINS=: Sequins are strung on a double strand of
thread. Untie 1 strand, place yarn through loop and pull strand of
sequins onto yarn. String about 2 strands of sequins at one time.
When necessary to string more sequins, cut yarn close to work, string
sequins as before.

=SEQUIN PATTERN=: =1st ROW=: (uneven number of sts) K 1, K 1 sequin
through st, repeat from beg across row ending with K 1. =2nd ROW=: P
across row. =3rd ROW=: K 2, * K 1 sequin through st, K 1, repeat from
* across row ending K 2. =4th ROW=: P across row.

=BACK=: Cast on 122 (130, 138) sts. Work in K 1, P 1 ribbing for ½
inch inc 1 st in last row of ribbing. Work in sequin pattern for 13
inches or desired length to armholes.

=SHAPE ARMHOLES=: Bind off 8 sts at beg of next 2 rows (all sizes),
then dec 1 st at each end every other row 3 times (all sizes). Work
even until armholes measure 7½ (8, 8½) inches. =SHAPE SHOULDERS=:
Bind off 5 (6, 6) sts at beg of next 6 rows, then bind off 8 (5, 7)
sts at beg of next 2 rows. Bind off remaining sts for neck.

=LEFT FRONT=: Cast on 60 (64, 68) sts and work in K 1, P 1 ribbing
for ½ inch. Work in sequin pattern until section measures same as
back to underarm. =SHAPE ARMHOLE=: Work same as back. Continue in
sequin pattern for 5 (5½, 6) inches. SHAPE =NECK LINE=: Bind off 19
(22, 24) sts at neck edge. Continue in pattern dec 1 st at neck edge
every other row 7 (8, 10) times. Work even until armhole measures
same as back. =SHAPE SHOULDER=: Work same as back.

=RIGHT FRONT=: Work same as left front reversing shaping.

=SLEEVES=: Cast on 61 (64, 68) sts. Work in K 1, P 1 ribbing for ½
inch. Work in sequin pattern inc 1 st every other row at each end
every ¾ inch 4 times. Continue inc in same manner, but work inc at
1 inch intervals 11 times more. Work even until sleeve measures 15
inches or desired length to underarm.

=SHAPE SLEEVE=: Bind off 10 sts (all sizes) at beg of next 2 rows,
then dec 1 st each end every other row until 39 (42, 46) sts remain.
Decrease 2 sts at each side of every other row 6 times. Bind off
remaining sts.

=FINISHING=: Block sections. Sew side, shoulder and sleeve seams. Sew
sleeves in position. Turn all ribbings to wrong side and sew in place.

=FACING=: With No. 1 circular needle, right side facing, starting
at lower right corner, pick up 1 st in each row on front and 1 st
in each st around front and back of neck. Work back and forth in K
1, P 1 ribbing for 3 rows, then continue in ribbing working 3 sts
tog on each side of front neck edges every other row twice. Continue
until ribbing measures 1¼ inches, bind off in ribbing. Cut a double
thickness of nylon netting and tack in place to wrong side of each
front edge. Fold facing over nylon netting and sew in place.

GAUGE: 5 sts = 1 inch


=FRONT=: Ch 120 (126, 132), s c in 2nd st from hook, * ch 1, skip
next st of ch, s c in next st, repeat from * across ch, ch 1 to
turn all rows. =NEXT ROW=: S c in 1st s c, * ch 1, s c in next s c
(pattern), repeat from * across row. Repeat the last row for pattern.
Work even until skirt measures 19 inches from beg or 7 inches less
than desired length allowing 2 inches for hem. =NEXT ROW=: Dec 1
pattern at beg and end of row (to dec 1 pattern at beg of row: insert
hook in 1st s c, pull yarn through, insert hook in next s c, pull
yarn through, Y O hook and pull through all loops; to dec at end of
row: work to within last 2 s c and dec in same manner). Then working
in pattern dec 1 pattern at beg and end of every 5th row 8 more
times. Then work even in pattern until work measures 27 inches from
beg, cut yarn.

=BACK=: Work same as front.

=FINISHING=: Block and steam sections. Cut lining in shape of skirt
allowing for seams and hem. Sew side seam, sew other side seam to
within 3 inches of waistband. Sew zipper in place. Turn hem under and
sew in place. Attach lining. Finish waistband with grosgrain ribbon.
